Suzzie

Hi, I’m Suzzie, joining the yellow Mini Cooper team of Go For It School of Motoring.

I have been impressed by the Mini Cooper D performance, it’s handling and safety features - it’s a fun car to learn in and appeals to all age groups. I have driven many types of cars in my personal life and during the 27 years I worked for the Civil Service but the Mini features top of the favourite list. One of the most memorable driving experiences I have had was following the Great River Rowing Race from Richmond to the Isle of Dogs along the River Thames, crossing many of London’s bridges, without the aid of a SatNav, and still managed to see my son cross the finish line with the junior Llangwm Rowing Team. (I won’t mention getting lost in the West End!) The following year, I took the easier route and joined the team as a passenger…. Mum to Shaun and Kimberley (and it is true, it can be hard to teach your own children to drive!)

When I’m not teaching pupils to pull off the perfect manoeuvre, I can be found pulling the perfect pint at the popular Swan Inn at Little Haven  but remember those legal limits if you do call in. In my spare time, I am a volunteer for Barnardos,  supporting the family of a young adult with special needs, a challenging, yet very rewarding role. As an instructor, I will teach you to understand and respect the road, keeping yourself and others safe, and most importantly enjoy the experience of learning one of life’s essential skills.
