Defensive Driver Training

Go For It has been established in pembrokeshire since 1993 and is a recognised brand within the driver training industry known for it's fleet of yellow training cars (mainly Minis).

What a lot of people don't know about Go For it is that it doesn't just restrict itself to training learner drivers. With a base of instructors who draw on a wide range of skills from Formula Ford racing to rally and track instructors, performance, advanced and specialist skills instructors, Go For It can provide training for a wide range of potential customers.

Our Defensive Driving Course is designed around nationally recognised training packages and encompasses the most practical elements of the type of training offered to Royalty and VIP Drivers, Police Specialist Drivers and Special Services Surveillance Drivers.

Our course takes company drivers who have a requirement or desire to drive to the highest standard and develops their skills to a new level most had never thought possible. All our training is tailored to the customers requirements and we offer a choice of 1, 2 or 3 day training packages each designed to suit your particular requirements.

The courses operate from 10am to 4pm on each day using your company vehicles so that your drivers will be familiar with the cars they will be driving. All courses run on a ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor ensuring maximum training exposure for each driver.

Our exciting 1, 2 and 3 day courses follow carefully selected timetables tailored to meet our customers requirements and typically consist of -

1 DAY COURSE (Forms day 1 of 3 day course)

      Introduction - to include a 90 minute theory session covering -

• Attitude
• Psychology & Emotions
• Stress
• Fatigue
• Red Mist
• Road Rage

     The System of Car Control (Roadcraft)

     Hazard Perception, Prioritisation & Driving Plans

     Observations

     Practical Assessment Drives

     De-brief & Lunch

     Practical Driving Instruction on local rural and urban routes

     End of course / End of day de-brief

DAY 2 (Of 3 day course)

      Q & A Sessionover coffee to discuss any issues arising from previous training day

     Practical Driving Instructionon a variety of rural and urban routes including town and village driving and dual-      carriageways (Lunch to be taken while out)

      End of day de-brief

DAY 3

      Q & A Sessionover coffee to discuss any issues arising from previous training day

     Practical Driving Instruction on a variety of rural and urban roads and motorways

     End of course de-brief

All of these courses provide full employer feedback with individual driver reports and Certificates.
